Rose petals creep into so many different tea blends. And for good reason. They’re the stately floral in a classic Earl Grey. You can mix them with white tea and goji berries for something fruity and clean. In Turkey, they’re brewed in a Samovar with Darjeeling and cardamom. They even match nicely with leafy Japanese Sencha. Rose petals are high in vitamin C, polyphenols, vitamin A and other antioxidants, which makes them great for arthritis, menstrual cramps, blood circulation and digestive pain. They’re relaxing too. Here’s a tip for the perfect sleepy-time blend: mix rose petals with a little chamomile, lavender and spearmint. You’ll be out like a light.
